Project G2G - Games to Gaza

An independent project has been set-up which aims to bring a little bit their lost childhood back to the children of Gaza. Whilst the world focuses on the Olympic Games which will take place this summer in London, this small organisation plans to bring the same to Gaza running a range of workshops which will include sports, arts, crafts and poetry.

Gaza has been badly effected by Israeli rocket attacks over the past few years, not to mention its invasion and thousands of homes now reduced to rubble. Please take your time to consider helping out such a charity in order to ensure Gaza's children don't miss out on their childhood. Let's bring the Olympics to Gaza!

Click here to visit their official website for more information or click here to be taken to the donation/shop page.

Thank you.

Iran: British embassy stormed but with "serious consequences"

It seems Iran is struggling to stay out of the 'western' media, as of late - but not intentionally, of course. Iran could be the next target on the list of Islamic countries to come under attack - be it verbally or physically - from the supreme powers of the non-Muslim world. Once again, the two main protagonists in this new age Crusade have been the United Kingdom and United States who have both forced sanctions upon the country after Iran supposedly continued to secretly develop its nuclear programme - similar to how Saddam Hussein was accused of doing only to later find, after an invasion and a hanging, that it was in fact complete bullshit. However, the recent string of countries who have come under some form of attack from the NATO have included Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and possibly Syria, not to mention Pakistan as well as Palestine. Is Iran next on the dart board?

In relevant news, William Hague, the Conservatoff foreign secretary, has announced that Iran will face "serious consequences" after attacks on the UK's embassy in Tehran, the capital of the Iranian nation. With the burden of heavy sanctions on his shoulders which will effect the lives of all Iranians, Will daringly claimed that the protesters, after storming two compounds, had put a risk to the safety of the staff as well as caused "extensive damage." Apart from a few smashed windows shown on PressTV, no "extensive" damage was caused to the building and all staff remained safe as well as unharmed. Any old excuse, it seems.

Bankrupt Britain: The reality of the Autumn statement

Chancellor George Osborne told the nation today of debt-filled times ahead. And lots of it.
Much to the surprise of the 36.1% majority of Tory-voters, it seems their party today has forecast a much more grim future for the nation as the recession inevitably deepens. Chancellor and man-in-charge-of-the-dosh George Osborne announced today the Autumn statement highlighting the grim reality of how far this recession will push the nation before it collapses. Now 710,000 jobs in the public sector will face the axe only adding to the unemployment lines outside Job Centres and to the statistic of unemployed workers in Britain. Furthermore, the previously announced growth level turned out to be nothing more than a myth as the economy will see only a rise of 0.7% in 2012 before optimistically rising to 2.3% by 2013. Numbers can certainly be a pain sometimes.

What comes as even greater humiliation for the Tories who find themselves in a very sticky wicket is that their revised economic actions highlight how the borrowing of £158 billion will exceed that of what the Labour Party projected to use - as trustworthy as such a claim is in such delicate times - and later insisted they would have borrowed "to fund growth." However, the Third Way seems very familiar to any Orange Book or Thatcherite alternative - even if there is a difference between the two. It seems that the "swinging" public, once again, has been well and truly fumbled. If only the politicians had been the honest bunch they are!

It seems in such a time of desperation that people become more politically aware - and rightfully so. Tomorrow will see, as Unison has projected, around 2 million public sector workers, predominately teachers, flood to the streets in what could spark yet another wave of protests which even outnumber the statistic of Egypt's recent "revolution." Even The Guardian's reporter and journalist couldn't hold back as he Tweeted "If Gordon Brown had delivered this speech, the old George Osborne would have mocked him mercilessly." Is it only a matter of time before the Conservative government collapses or must the Proletariat force such change if we are to even narrowly avoid a very long and gloomy depression.
